With over 4 years experience in the Super Yacht Industry throughout the Mediterranean and Australia, Cameron offers an international perspective.

Before joining us in 2006, Cameron worked as an Officer on various Super Yachts from 100’ to 180’. The majority of his time was spent residing in France and Italy on a 180’ Super Yacht owned by Royalty. Before joining Grant Torrens International Marine, Cameron returned to Australia to Captain a privately owned Luxury Motor Yacht in Sydney.

His international experience has given him an extensive knowledge of luxury yachts, their systems, operations, and most importantly, “what owners really want from their vessel.”

Now based on the Gold Coast, Cameron is combining his Business qualifications with his International Yachting tickets and industry insight to offer you a professional and exclusive brokering service. In addition, Cameron heads up the Grant Torrens International Marine charter division, managing charters worldwide.

Col McPherson JP (c.dec), Executive Motor Yacht Sales Manager

Know, dedicated and well repected in the marine industry Col brings over 23 years experience to our sales team and has been a hand's on marina owner / operator for over 16 years having the Bertram - Caribbean franchise in that time. Many people still address him these days as Mc Bertram.

His wealth of knowledge in the marine industry and previous background in finance & hospitality gives him great credentials to discuss all aspects of boating, refits, upgrades, finance, insurance and more.

Since joining the GTIM team 7 years ago he has been involved and instrumental with many of our large and small motor yacht sales.

He is a life member of the Bribie Island Game Fishing Club and organised game fishing tournaments from their home base at Spinnaker Sound Marina Bribie Island for 15 years. He also enjoys time with his family particularly his 2 granddaughters and the odd game of golf whilst lately he has taken a little time out for some overseas and interstate travel.

Steve Jenkins, Broker

After finishing an apprenticeship as an Automotive Engineer Steve turned to business management. Having spent 30 years in executive management roles the most recent, a 12 year role as National Retail Manager for a 450 store national retail group.

Having turned his career to his passion "boats", Steve brings a wealth of hands on boating experience to Grant Torrens.

Being an active member of a Game Fishing Club Steve spent time travelling the east coast of Australia, fishing in game tournaments with great success, winning "Champion boat" on several occasions.

Steve enjoys sharing his boating knowledge in assisting his clients to make the right choice for their boating needs.

Sharon Torrens

Sharon shares Grant's passion for the water, having had a successful career as a waterskier in her own right. Some of her waterskiing highlights include representing Australia in the Water Ski Team World Title in 1972 (USA), breaking the Women's World Barefoot record, NSW Marathon Champion, Qld Marathon Champion and being nominated for the Radio 97/Fourex Sports Star of the Year award in 1984. She has also been in the Australian Water ski Titles 6 times as a NSW team representative and once as a QLD team representative.

With a working background in finance, real estate and developments, Sharon is well known on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Sharon's extensive business experience keeps the company running on an even keel.

As a qualified Justice of the Peace, Sharon is published in the Australian Roll of Honour as well as the Lexicon Who's Who.

She has travelled world wide and attends the annual boat shows in Sydney and Gold Coast (Australia), Fort Lauderdale and Miami (USA) and Monaco.

With her unique track record, extensive customer base and incredible energy, Sharon is an ideal choice when it comes to buying or selling your Vessel.

Cameron started his career working in the hotel and bar industry in Adelaide where he successfully ran 2 prominent bars in the area. After accomplishing this Cameron made his way back up to the coast, from where he was originally from.

He was brought up around boats and loves the beach and surf. So combining his love of the water and passion for boats Cameron thought doing something with the boating industry made sense, which led him to Grant Torrens Marine.

Tony Edwards, Executive Broker

Tony Edwards is a competent sales professional, who understands customer service and follow up. With several decades of sales behind him in other industry sectors such as vehicles and real estate, Tony has decided to follow another one of his passions - boats.

Obviously living in the South Island of New Zealand was not the place to do this so he, along with his partner, Glenys decided it was time to cross the ditch and with that in mind he started researching the best marine broker on the Gold Coast, Grant Torrens International Marine.

Now as part of that very professional business, he combines his sales skill with other competencies that come from owning his own retail business, sales management roles in other businesses, and also general management positions he has held.

Tony is a consummate professional, who understands presentation, the sales cycle and processes, how to go about identifying the customers needs, and the art of negotiating the deal right down to final delivery and after sales service. He has had a life long love of boats and boating activities, diving, as well as all motor sports, both as a driver and spectator.
