Sharon shares Grant's passion for the water, having had a successful career as a waterskier in her own right. Some of her waterskiing highlights include representing Australia in the Water Ski Team World Title in 1972 (USA), breaking the Women's World Barefoot record, NSW Marathon Champion, Qld Marathon Champion and being nominated for the Radio 97/Fourex Sports Star of the Year award in 1984. She has also been in the Australian Water ski Titles 6 times as a NSW team representative and once as a QLD team representative.

With a working background in finance, real estate and developments, Sharon is well known on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Sharon's extensive business experience keeps the company running on an even keel. As a qualified Justice of the Peace, Sharon is published in the Australian Roll of Honour as well as the Lexicon Who's Who. She has travelled world wide and attends the annual boat shows in Sydney and Gold Coast (Australia), Fort Lauderdale and Miami (USA) and Monaco.

With her unique track record, extensive customer base and incredible energy, Sharon is an ideal choice when it comes to buying or selling your Vessel.

Known, dedicated and well respected in the marine industry Col brings over 25 years experience to our sales team and has been a hands on marina owner / operator for over 16 years having the Bertram Caribbean franchise in that time. Many people still address him as Col Mc Bertram. His wealth of knowledge in the marine industry and previous background in finance and hospitality gives him great credentials to discuss all aspects of boating, refits, upgrades, finance, insurance and more.

Since joining the GTIM team 9 years ago he has been involved and instrumental in many of our large and small motor yacht sales. He is a life member of the Bribie Island Game Fishing Club and organised game fishing tournaments from their home base at Spinnaker Sound Marina, Bribie Island for 15 years. He also enjoys time with his family particularly his 2 granddaughters and the odd game of golf but lately he has taken a little time out for some overseas and interstate travel.

As a local girl who enjoys all water and outside activities such as boating, going to the beach, water skiing and walking it is only fitting that she enjoys working in the Luxury Motor Yacht industry. Nicole started her career at Paradise Waters in real estate administration. Her vibrant personality, dedication and determination led her to Computerland where a passion for computers was found. Having had her own successful business on the Gold Coast it has given her the experience necessary to personally assist Grant and Sharon.

Nicole holds qualifications that provide a unique background for her various roles. Her flair for marketing and enthusiasm for boats has given her opportunity to co ordinate boat charters, corporate functions and local boat shows. Nicole enjoys begin at the fore front of the company with her public relation role and takes pride in the needs of clients.

Working with a group of industry leaders is also important to Nicole and particularly with the very successful team at Grant Torrens International Marine where results speak for themselves.

Scott was born in Windsor NSW. Coming from two generations of drag boat racer’s in the family on the Hawkesbury River, Scott pursued this family passion learning to drive his grandfathers 46 footer and purchased his first boat at the age of 6. From this early age he became heavily involved in water skiing, jet skiing, then in his later teens on to power boat racing to speeds in excess of 100 mph.

On completion of a Business Management and Business Marketing course Scott entered into a family business as Operations Manager where has was in charge of around 40 employees. At the age of 24 Scott with his love of the water started at Grant Torrens International Marine. As an International broker he has successfully sold sports, flybridge cruisers and motor yachts up to 110’ to valued clients all over Australia and overseas. Scott became the Lazzara Motor Yachts sales manager for Australia with the first 75 Lazzara LSX sold new into Australia last year. With nearly 25 years experience in boating and 7 years in the elite brokerage marine industry Scott brings enthusiasm, knowledge and confidence to assist you in your next local or international Motor Yacht purchase.

After finishing an apprenticeship as an Automotive Engineer Steve turned to business management. Having spent 30 years in executive management roles the most recent, a 12 year role as National Retail Manager for a 450 store national retail group.

Having turned his career to his passion "boats", Steve brings a wealth of hands on boating experience to Grant Torrens. Being an active member of a Game Fishing Club Steve spent time travelling the east coast of Australia, fishing in game tournaments with great success, winning "Champion boat" on several occasions. Now in his role's as International Broker and Sales Director Heysea Motor Yachts,Steve enjoys sharing his boating knowledge in assisting his clients to make the right choice for their boating needs.

Sean comes from a background in Insurance broking, marketing & claims management. His attention to detail is synonymous in his dealings with his clients working to provide a positive outcome for all concerned. Sean’s love of boating is a reflection of his attitude to the boating industry. Committed to customer satisfaction, ambitious and always striving to exceed expectations he offers unparalleled service throughout the entire buying & selling process for his purchasers & vendors.

His business background has complimented his marine career to date in providing a professional, trustworthy and honest service.

Sean has been involved with competition sailing & recreational boating in one way or another from a very young age & brings with him vast experience and thrives on the chance to turn a challenge into an opportunity.

At the age 22 I owned my first charter boat, a 26ft Cougar Catamaran "Wild Cat" which operated as a dive boat out of Noosa. My future husband at the time owned and operated the only fishing charter business in Noosa, also using powered catamarans. After a couple of years in the industry we built and operated alongside our other businesses a 60ft licensed cruise boat.
What evolved in 1990, a natural progression from our knowledge of operating powered catamarans was Noosa Blue Water Brokerage, Australia's Powered Catamaran Specialists.
Having been the Principal and Salesperson of my own brokerage for 21 years I have a comprehensive understanding of what is required to be successful in this industry.

It was an interesting career choice for me, particularly at that time, as it was a male dominated industry, which was always my biggest challenge, however I have loved it.

I have an extensive clientele Australia wide and internationally, I have been sole agent acting for many government authorities and marine rescue organizations over the years and still retain my sole agency with the Queensland Police Service, something I am extremely proud of as it speaks volumes about my integrity in business.

With the relocation of my family to the Gold Coast 3 years ago, and my desire to spend more time on the boats and less time administrating, I began to look for an opportunity which would allow me to do what I love.

I am excited to have this opportunity with Grant Torrens International Marine and I look forward to bringing my expertise to the team and having a happy and prosperous relationship here.

As the newest member to the Grant Torrens International Marine team, Jared entered the boating fraternity when his parents bought their first 'big boat', a Markline 1000.
Jared's experience in the industry has stretched from operating a re-fuelling facility and boat maintenance, setting up and operating a spare parts and aftermarket sales division along with operation of recreational and commercial vessels of various sizes.
He was also involved in management of Gold Coast City Marina's dry storage facility. Jared has held various sales positions within the marine industry with Queensland Marine Centre who are the Queensland Sea Ray distributors, and Leigh-Smith Cruiser Sales brokerage.
Jared is also involved in High Speed Boat Racing crewing for the Current World Champion Troy Marland and 'Madness' in the Unlimited Displacement class.
Jared brings a vast knowledge base of all makes of vessel in particular with the Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and other quality pre-owned vessels, and is only more than happy to assist you in finding your perfect boat.
