'This vessel was unquestionably designed and built to be at sea for long periods, and as such nothing is left to chance.' - Barry Tyler, Pacific Motor Yacht, September 2007
It is not very often in life we get the best from both worlds. However, the High Seas Explorer Motor Yacht is beyond the ordinary combining the sturdy, reliable aspects of commercial vessels with the opulence and luxury of recreational cruisers. She is also built to USL 2B Survey standards.
Her most impressive feature is the twin skegs allowing the High Seas Explorer' to sit upright on a beach whilst protecting the propellers (most handy for a secluded sojourn in some little hideaway). Our 58’ motor yacht is characterised by exceptional use of space, practical maintenance and the ability to travel as far as the imagination and beyond.
The High Seas Explorer is based on the hull design of a commercial fishing vessel and built by a commercial fisherman to withstand all conceivable commissions. The steel hull is graced with an aluminium superstructure and generously fitted (internally and externally) with stainless steel for longevity and practical maintenance. To add comfort to reliability, we ensure the internal spaces are air-conditioned and surprisingly open.
The light and spacious coach house is at deck level and contains the Saloon and Galley. It is an elegant location where you can dine, relax and take in the scenery. The Saloon has a full dining table complimented by a leather suite and occasional chairs for up to eight people. The Galley is certainly large enough for two to conjure up a magnificent meal on the Miele appliances.
The Galley also serves as the access point to the Wheelhouse and the Engine Room. A true mariner Wheelhouse, the High Seas Explorer has twin leather helms and room for onlookers. The instrumentation is no further than arm’s reach and the 180° views allow masterful manoeuvring of her.
Equally impressive is the full headroom Engine Room with stainless steel piping and commercial grade fittings.
The twin diesel 250hp Cummins are located just aft of midships and produce a cruising speed of 10knots at 60 litres per hour total.
Below deck is the 5 Star accommodation for six in three cabins. The Owner’s Suite spreads across the full 18’ beam of the High Seas Explorer and has its own ensuite, entertainment unit, Queen size bed and ample storage space. The Twin Cabin is perfect for the kids boasting two DVD players to entertain and delight. The Guest Cabin is equally appointed with a Queen size bed and its own entertainment system – it is hard to believe this isn’t a luxury home.
Our High Seas Explorer Motor Yacht is no ordinary cruiser. The High Seas Explorer is designed for long range cruising in comfort in the full knowledge she is engineered for seafaring. She is a motor yacht for people going places!
