VvS1 is a 111' (34m) motor yacht built in New Zealand by Alloy Yachts and launched in
2007. VvS1 is based in New Zealand and is available for charter in most Pacific island
groups.
VvS1 is a luxury exploration vessel versatile enough to enter small bays, anchor behind
coral atolls or for game-fishing over submarine reefs.
With her spacious living area, the yacht boasts a fully equipped gymnasium, well
accessorised staterooms and large indoor and outdoor dining areas.
VvS1 offers luxury accommodation for 8 guests in a master stateroom, a VIP and two twin
cabins, all with ensuite facilities.

- The master cabin is forward on the main deck. It boasts a king-sized bed and generous
bathroom with bath, shower and twin basins. - A large stairwell leads to the guest quarters on the lower deck: a VIP stateroom with a full
ensuite, queen-size bed, and two more staterooms with private bathrooms.

Captain: Andy Grocott
Captain Andy apprenticed and served on Tall Ships before moving to Yachts eight years
ago. A passionate sailor, he grew up rowing and sailing on the lakes and harbours of his
native New Zealand. He enjoys the adventure, challenges and the responsibilities of
commanding a large yacht and has a depth of experience having sailed in both the
northern and southern hemispheres of the world.
Chef: Belinda Grocott
Originally from South Africa, Belinda studied food and nutrition before training as a chef in
a five Star hotel. She prides herself on producing creative, nutritious meals using the best
locally sourced ingredients. Captain Andy and Belinda have been working together as a
captain/chef team for the past six years.

First Mate: Owen Monro
Owen grew up on an Orchard north of Sydney, Australia. He learned his trade of cabinet
making before venturing overseas to discover yachting in 2000. Owen put his carpentry
skills to good use on classic sailboats and then later moved to Motor yachts where he has
travelled much of Europe and the Caribbean. Between boating and adventures Owen's
love of the outdoors and passion for extreme weather have led him into recreational
guiding.
Chief Stewardess: Karla Christensen
Karla's love for travelling began at an early age when she studied and worked in the travel
industry in her hometown of New Plymouth, New Zealand. Karla headed overseas to work
and tour Europe where she discovered yachting while holidaying in the Caribbean 7 years
ago. Durirng her time on board yachts Karla has been fortunate to explore many areas of
the world and immerse herself in a diverse range of cultures.
Second Stewardess: Venita Christensen
Venita's desire to travel led her to join her sister aboard super yachts in 2005. She has
visited many countries with Karla, encompassing her love of photography by capturing the
countless adventures. Venita studied information Technology in Wellington after growing
up in New Plymouth and is excited to explore her home country on board VvS1.
